Bankroll Management

Bankroll management is probably the single most important factor to being a successful sports gambler.

You may ask, what are the 1%, 2%, or 3% that we give out with our bets. The answer is, this is the percentage of your entire allotted gambling bankroll that you should be betting on this particular game. For instance, if you have a bankroll of 10,000USD to gamble with, then you should be wagering 200USD on a 2% wager.

You should look at these percentages as units.

  • 1% is equal to 1 unit
  • 2% is equal to 2 units
  • and so on and so on

While these percentages may seem small, this is a crucial aspect of being a successful sports gambler. Sports betting is inherently volatile. You will experience great win streaks, and there will also be bad losing streaks. If you don’t have the discipline for good bankroll management, then it’s very easy to start losing at a higher rate than you’re winning.

You may encounter “sports handicapping services” that will give out 5 or even 10+ unit bets claiming to be a “Lock,” “Pick of the week,” “Pick of the year,” “10 star can’t miss,” and many other marketable dreams. The reality is, there are no absolutes in sports gambling. There’s no such thing as a “Lock,” and you should cringe when you hear that word.

At PickHub, we’re truly here to help you learn how to properly bet, and give you the information you need to beat your book in the long term! A big part of this is being consistent in your betting units and having solid bankroll management.
